[OOTD] Waitin Over Here for Life to Begin...

Well.

First things first.

Tomorrow, I will welcome this new addition to the family:

A Kodak bridge camera. Yay!

Until then, old outfit photos.

Top: TJ Maxx, $12 | Jeans: Gap, $30 (old) | Scarf: Tres Chic Boutique (local), $5 | Shoes: Christian Siriano for Payless, $20 | Sunnies: FL Boutique, $15 | Earrings: Ardene's, Canada, $10 | Watch: Target, $13 | Grand Total: $105

Ya'll, I'm not sure if I mentioned - but I am so, so, so not a mixing patterns person. I just don't know how to do it. I see all these fabulous bloggers mixing patterns and I just don't know how they do it and make it look good.

This is my first attempt. In sticking with advice from Marion at Marionberry Style, I opted for two prints in the same color family, with the scarf and the top.

I think it turned out alright, but I still don't know that I would be comfortable with crazy patterns on both my top and my pants.

This is about as crazy as I'm going to get with patterns. I just really, really like to match. Is that so wrong?

(earring close up since they disappear on my skin)

How do you feel about pattern mixing?

Have a lovely Wednesday!

  2. I'm not very good at mixing patterns either, but I'd say stripes and polka dots are a good start. And you're right- Pittsburgh is great, I hope I never have to leave!

I absolutely love hearing from readers! Thanks for stopping by!
And I make a point to visit the blogs of my commenters, so if you have one, please leave me a way of getting there along with your comment.

(Please don't leave a comment that's only asking me to go to your blog - you might have a great blog but this type of comment is just bad manners.)
