First things first.
Tomorrow, I will welcome this new addition to the family:
Until then, old outfit photos.
Ya'll, I'm not sure if I mentioned - but I am so, so, so not a mixing patterns person. I just don't know how to do it. I see all these fabulous bloggers mixing patterns and I just don't know how they do it and make it look good.
This is my first attempt. In sticking with advice from Marion at Marionberry Style, I opted for two prints in the same color family, with the scarf and the top.
This is about as crazy as I'm going to get with patterns. I just really, really like to match. Is that so wrong?

How do you feel about pattern mixing?
Have a lovely Wednesday!
Aww I want a new camera too ;) xx
ReplyDeleteI just got lucky that everything came together! Yesterday's post explains it all. :)
DeleteI'm not very good at mixing patterns either, but I'd say stripes and polka dots are a good start. And you're right- Pittsburgh is great, I hope I never have to leave!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a pretty fab job with the dots and stripes. And congrats/yay on the new camera!
ReplyDeleteI love your pattern mixing...it works because you kept the patterns in the same color family :) Enjoy the new camera!
