I've talked before on my blog about my comfort (or lack thereof) with pattern mixing. So when Marion at Marionberry Style made pattern mixing this month's trend of the month, I did frownie face just a bit. Great trend - but obviously not in my general comfort zone.
I take baby steps to pattern mixing currently, and today's look is no different. As seen before, my pattern mixing consists of a patterned shirt with a differently patterned scarf. Don't laugh, I'm still an amateur.
Also debuting on the blog today - pictures taken with my new camera!!! W00t W00t!!!

The thing I really love about pattern mixing is that it doesn't involve buying any new items, unlike neon or peplum for example. It just means mixing together things you already have in your closet! I'm also taking it slow, mixing in patterned belts and such - I think the trick to keep it looking chic instead of silly is staying in the same color family. That way we don't look back at our outfits in 15years and go "what in the world were we thinking"
ReplyDeleteI love this look very relax and chic.
ReplyDeletePS. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog and would love to follow each other if you like. Hope to hear from you soon.
