[OOTD] Concert Wear

Ok, so a little bit of a white lie here. Last night I went to the Kelly Clarkson/The Fray concert. Before I went, I spent time finishing the book I was reading instead of taking outfit photos. So, the outfit photos below are not from last night's show. But I really wanted to participate in Sharon's linkup at The Tiny Heart, especially since I just went to a show, so I picked an outfit that would work that I already had snaps of!!

But before we get to the outfit....let's chat briefly about the Kelly Clarkson concert. First of all, she sounds better in person than she does recorded, if that's even possible. She sang a great mix of old and new stuff, and threw in a few covers for good measure (everyone loved her cover of Fun's We Are Young). She chatted to the audience and made the concert really enjoyable. She also walked midway out to the lawn and sang 2 songs from the middle of the crowd which I thought was so cool.

The Fray co-headlined the show, as well, and they played first - and their lead singer actually came all the way back to the lawn, which I thought was pretty awesome. I'll admit, though - I came to this concert to see Kelly Clarkson and not the Fray. I mean, I like the Fray, but if it wasn't on the radio I don't really know it. Miss Clarkson on the other hand - I own all of her albums! Anyway, here are a few Kelly Clarkson pics for you to enjoy! (Sorry for the poor quality, but we weren't super close!)

I also took a couple very short videos:

My Life Would Suck Without You
Behind Those Hazel Eyes
Dark Side
We Are Young (fun. cover)
Already Gone (see above)
Don't You Wanna Stay (duet with her dude from the show Duets)
Fan Request: (a cover of a Trisha Yearwood song that I didn't know)
Breakaway
Since You Been Gone

Encore:
Because of You (see below)
Mr. Know It All into Miss Independent
(honestly, this version of Miss Independent sounded way cooler than the recorded one!!!)
Stronger

Now, onto the outfit. This is an outfit I actually wore to go outlet shopping with a friend, but it met all of my requirements for concert wear in the summer - cute, but comfortable, and perfect for hot weather (which are also requirements for outdoor shopping in the summer!!).

Top: Lauren Conrad via Kohl's (old), $? | Shorts, Flip flops: Old Navy, $15, $3 | Earrings: Ardene's via Canada, $5 | Bracelets: Boutique (matte silver), $2.50; F21 (shiny silver, blue), $?, $2 | Necklace: H&M (very old), $? | Watch: gifted | Grand Total: $27.50+

Aaaaand of course, had to share this gem:
