As I mentioned in the last post, I'm part of a dance team here in Atlanta. We're made up of about 15-20 guys and girls with an immense love of dancing. We do line dancing (country and hip hop and anything in between) as well as couples dancing (swing, two step, latin - you name it, someone on our team can do it).
This team was a saving grace for me. 5 years ago, I moved to Atlanta, not knowing a soul outside of my then-boyfriend, now husband.
I had no friends, no one at my new job who was my age, and nothing to do on the weekends.
These guys and gals have become wonderful friends to me here, and I am thankful every single day that I went to that audition.
My life here is so much more fun now that you all are in it!!
And dancing has become such a passion for me.
To my teammates - I love sharing that passion with you all.
looks like a bootin' scootin' good time!!! get your western on! :) How fun and what a GREAT way to get involved in your new home, that would be hard to have no friend base in a new city. You are so smart. And how fun too!
I absolutely love hearing from readers! Thanks for stopping by! And I make a point to visit the blogs of my commenters, so if you have one, please leave me a way of getting there along with your comment.
(Please don't leave a comment that's only asking me to go to your blog - you might have a great blog but this type of comment is just bad manners.)
I'm a 30 year old street-fashion lover with a small budget and an eye for a style steal. I live in Atlanta, GA, but I'm originally from midway between NYC and Philadelphia, and will always consider myself a northeasterner. I'm a traveling IT trainer in the tv industry by day; blogger, ballroom dancer, wife, reader, doggie mom, writer, music lover, singer, world traveler, and media sponge by night. Hope you enjoy my blog!
