[Shopping] I Need an Opinion or 10

For as much as I love dresses, I don't have many party dresses. Maybe because I don't go out "partying" too often. But whenever I do, I'm always scrambling to find something fun and cute to wear.

I found this dress at Kohl's a few months ago. I tried it on, didn't love it, and didn't buy it. Last week, I tried it on again, couldn't decide, so I again didn't buy it. I went back to Koh'ls this past weekend to use my Kohl's cash and my eyes went back to this dress. It was the only one left in my size. I kept feeling like there was just something I didn't love about it, but that something could be shoes or maybe the right hairstyle or accessories. So I took a few pictures and still was iffy about it.

Well, I bought the dress. I just love the pink and black, and I'm obsessed with the one-shoulder style and lace. (Remember when I tried on something similar?) The intent is to try it on at home with some heels and maybe with my hair down or something and see what I think. If I can't make it work, I'm taking it back. It may just be that I'm not nuts about where it cuts with the belt. It may be that my chest is just too big for this style/cut. What do you think? Do you like it? Do you have any suggestions on what I might be able to add that would make it work?

  1. i love it! i would definitely wear it with your hair down with a pair of super hot black heels (or even a pair of the right black cowboy boots) - i would add black and silver or gold jewelry to it as well - i'd probably go for large earrings and steer away from a necklace. whenever i wear one-shoulder things i usually don't wear a necklace. it looks great on you!

  2. if you love it, that's all that matters. I'd throw on some heels and a pile of bangles on your bare arm to balance out the lace.

  3. I love the dress but not sure I love it on ME. I'm definitely going to take both of your suggestions - it definitely needs heels (or even the cowboy boots! I LOVE cowboy boots!!). I love the idea of statement earrings or bangles - I'll try those and post the look when I do! Thanks ladies!

And I make a point to visit the blogs of my commenters, so if you have one, please leave me a way of getting there along with your comment.

(Please don't leave a comment that's only asking me to go to your blog - you might have a great blog but this type of comment is just bad manners.)
